KoMs: Purito and Bardet

Purito: Champion climber...

Stage 18 was an incredible performance by Romain Bardet soloing to victory. His descending skills match his climbing skills as the Frenchman went over the Col du Glandon and the Lacets de Montvernier. After the stage Purito Rodriguez and Romain Bardet are both tie in the KoMs classification. Rodriguez will wear the Polka Dot jersey as he has won more HC climbs than Bardet.

Bardet: Champion climber and descending genius.

Tifosi Cycling Cap

Italian is the buzz word for today's TGIF!

The wait is over. We have been advertising this new cap since January. However, production was postponed due to custom orders. We're excited to launch our newest Tifosi cycling cap!

Our admiration and love for Italian cycling holds no bounds, coinciding with the exciting Tirreno Adriatico stage race. Tradition is the key in making the Tifosi, we include a handmade Italian tricolor consisting of 3 ribbons sewn together. Made from pre-washed black linen/cotton for durability, comfort and wicking properties it is our favorite fabric. We use a standard 100% pre-washed cotton wicking band, adding a fiery red linen/cotton under brim. Our embroidered Red Dots logo includes a special Italian tricolor.

So, go ahead and get your TIFOSI CYCLING CAP, show your support because it's FAN-tastic!

TGIF: Thinker by Road Holland & Vive la Francaise!

Courtesy RoadHolland

We're very happy to collaborate...

Sharing ideas with like minded folks like Jonathan co-owner of Road Holland. Makers of superb, classic design cycling jerseys, made in Florida. Last July (Tour de France time), Jonathan contacted me of our Le Tour 100 cycling cap and I was more than happy to send him one. That's the image of Jonathan looking like the 'Thinker' with our Le Tour 100 cycling cap. We love the pose, the jersey and our cycling cap.

Our Le Tour 100 cycling cap is a limited edition cap with our own designed and produced embroidery - on sale while quantities last!

La Francaise

French Revolution...

Our love for linen/cotton holds no bounds. Linen is an amazing fabric; lightweight, breathable, anti-bacterial, wicks moisture rapidly, will keep you cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. We are working on a new production of La Francaise, made from linen/cotton due out soon.

A Match Made in Heaven!

courtesy: seriousandstylish.com

We would like to thank Jonathan of Road Holland for sending us the photo of how well our
Le Tour 100 cycling cap matches their fantastic Road Holland's Ultrecht Jersey.

Road Holland, based and made in the US, makes very well-made cycling jerseys. In fact, I am a proud owner of quite a few of them and enjoy them on my many rides.

The French style of our Le Tour 100 cap goes so well with the USA Edition Ultrecht... Stunning and a match made in heaven!

maillot à pois rouges: Richard Virenque

Take that!
Boyish fun with teammate Luc Leblanc, 1994 TdF.

Richard Virenque won the stage to Luz-Ardiden effectively winning the mountains competition of the 1994 Tour. This is the start of his record breaking seven KOMs victories. He was a French favorite because of his boyish personality and long, lone attacks.

Tuesday 12 June 2012

maillot à pois rouges: Patrocinio Jimenez

Jimenez was splendid where it counted in the high mountains
wearing the polka dot jersey for five days finishing
second in the KOMs classification!

The 1983 Tour de France invited the Colombian amateurs and Patrocinio Jimenez was the first Colombian rider to wear the maillot à pois rouges!

maillot à pois rouges: Tejay van Garderen

KOMs Tejay van Garderen after stage 8, 2011 TdF.

American, Tejay van Garderen is one of those promising riders that excel in Grand Tours. Known as a time trialing specialist he's also good in the mountains. In the 2011 Tour de France stage 8 he won enough points on the cat 2 climb to earn the KOMs jersey and Most Aggressive Rider honors. He became the first  American to wear the KOMs jersey in the Tour!
